Meet the owner of Losin’ It with Stamps, Marilyn Miller.

Hi, from the mountains of North Carolina. My name is Marilyn and me and my husband, Les have raised two children. Our oldest, Caitlin, who is married and our youngest Landon, who was diagnosed with Autism. You can learn more about our journey on myautismcreations.com.

I started a company called Autism Creations to assist friends, family members, therapists and teachers with products specially designed for children and adults with special needs. These products can also be used to teach ESL learning and even reach the Dementia/Alzheimer’s community.

When my husband Les became the Youth Director at our church, I invested in a Cricut machine to create banners and other items for our youth group. There was a card template on how to create a Christmas Greeting card. When I scanned Pinterest for other greeting cards, I came across the Stampin’ Up company and fell in love with their products. Through time, I found creating greeting cards fun but also very therapeutic.

After a while, my passion for creating greeting cards took on a whole new level, when I introduced this art activity to our son, who has autism. I found that therapeutic art activities benefit those with Autism, Alzheimer’s, or others with a developmental or mental disability. I found my niche to create DIY Therapeutic Card Kits that are specifically designed for any individual with Special Needs, and enable anyone to have fun learning in a creative and relaxing way.
